Welcome to the Layoff Support Union

Welcome! My name is Craig Brown, and I have faced more experiences with job loss than most people could imagine. In today’s economic climate, with unprecedented layoffs affecting tens of thousands—upwards of 200,000 tech employees alone in 2024—my insights into navigating career uncertainty feel more relevant than ever. Experts suggest that 2025 may continue this trend, impacting countless professionals and families across industries.

I founded The Layoff Support Network during the tumultuous 2008 recession, where I witnessed firsthand the emotional toll layoffs have on individuals, families, and communities. This experience taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, self-worth, and the importance of community support during hard times. The Layoff Support Union builds on this foundation, aiming to create a thriving support system where members uplift each other through job searches and career transitions.

Whether you’re in search of a new role or just looking for a place to connect with others who understand, The Layoff Support Union is here to provide a space for support and hope—even after finding a new job. Together, we can turn times of crisis into moments of growth and renewal, building a network that endures beyond individual circumstances.

Please note that this is a privately funded effort. Those involved do not receive fame, fortune, or anything other than satisfying a desire to help others.
